Greetings and Salutations!

Deep Kneads is owned and operated by me, Daymara Excel (“day” like of the week, “mar” rhymes with tar and then add another “a” on the end). I’ve been a Registered Massage Therapist for over 12 years and have been practising in Parry Sound for the last 6. I went to college for massage in Ottawa at Algonquin College and graduated with Honours.

I generally tend to be more inclined to practice deep tissue massage and specifically enjoy treating folks who suffer from things like headaches, TMJ pain and back/shoulder/neck dysfunctions. That being said, bring me your sore bodies and I will do my best to relieve you of your discomfort.

It is quite simply of utmost importance to me that people have an inclusive space to seek out massage therapy services and I aim to offer that here! 

Introduction to massage

You only get one body for life and taking care of that body is crucial so it  can support you well for a long time. Massage therapy can help you take care of that body.

The benefits of massage include: stress relief, better circulation, relaxation, pain relief, improved sleep and mobility. It can also help to treat many conditions including: sprain/strain injuries, tendinitis, repetitive strain injuries, tension headaches, jaw pain from bruxism or clenching, chronic fatigue, bursitis, athletic injuries, fibromyalgia, sciatica and chronic pain to name a few.

And even though there are many reasons to to seek out massage therapy the best one may simply be because if feels good!
